🚀 Open Nexus Product Update (July 21, 2026) – Booking File Filters, Smarter Notifications & Enhanced Cargo Details
Hi everyone,
We're excited to share our latest Open Nexus update, bringing one of our most requested improvements along with several enhancements to make managing your shipments even more efficient.
🔎 Booking File Filters Are Here
You can now filter your Booking File View Table to quickly find the shipments you're looking for.
Filters are now available for many commonly used columns, including:
- PO Number(s)
- Assigned To
- Cargo Ready Date (CRD)
- File Status
- And many more
This makes it much easier to locate booking files without manually searching through large lists.
Coming Soon: Advanced Filters
We're already working on the next phase of filtering.
The upcoming Advanced Filters feature will expand filtering to all Booking File View Table columns and the Notification View Table, with support for filter conditions and more advanced filtering options to help you build highly customized views.
💬 Message Preview & Improved Chat Notifications
Keeping up with conversations is now even easier.
When you hover over a message notification, you'll now see a preview of the message in a tooltip, allowing you to quickly understand the context before opening the Booking File.
We've also improved chat notifications to clearly display the name of the person who sent the message, making it easier to identify conversations at a glance.
📦 More Flexible Container Details
We've enhanced the Container Details section to provide greater flexibility when describing cargo.
- A new Cargo Description field has been added, allowing you to enter a free-text description for the cargo inside each container.
- Commodity has been renamed to Carrier Commodity to better reflect that it refers to the standardized commodity classifications used by shipping carriers. Carrier Commodity is now an optional field, giving you greater flexibility when creating Booking Files.
These improvements make it easier to capture both standardized carrier information and shipment-specific cargo descriptions.
🔔 More Informative Booking File Notifications
We've improved Booking File notifications to provide greater clarity about your role and involvement.
When you're added to a Booking File, the notification now clearly tells you whether you've been added as a Responsible or Informed
You'll also now receive a notification whenever your role on a Booking File changes, helping you stay aware of your current responsibilities and ensuring better collaboration throughout the shipment lifecycle.
