12. Staying Updated with Notifications

Open Nexus keeps you informed automatically.

You will receive notifications for:

• Chat: New group messages with sender details
• Booking File: Assignment as Responsible/Informed and file updates
• File Status: Changes to Active, Cancelled, or Completed
• Documents: New uploads with document type and uploader
• Tasks: New assignments, updates, reopen actions, and due/overdue alerts
• Schedule: Supported Schedule Notifications:
  • Notification when a schedule is added
  • Notification when a schedule is updated
  • Notification when schedule status changes to: Booking Placed/ Booking Cancelled/ Space Released/ Space Released Cancelled (No space)/ Schedule Confirmed/ Schedule Rejected

Post-MVP:
Exceptions/Incidents and email notifications will be added later.

Users are categorized as:

• Responsible → must act
• Informed → visibility only

Hint:
Notifications help you stay aligned on what needs attention without manually checking each Booking File, and can be turned on or off in Notification Settings for Responsible and Informed roles.
