12. Staying Updated with Notifications

Open Nexus keeps you informed automatically about important activities across your Booking Files.

Supported Notifications

You will receive notifications for:

• Chat: New group messages with sender details.
• Booking File: Assignment as Responsible/Informed and Booking File updates.
• File Status: Changes to Active, Cancelled, or Completed.
• Documents: New uploads with document type and uploader.
• Tasks: New assignments, updates, reopened tasks, and due/overdue alerts.
• Schedule: Notifications when a schedule is added or updated, and when the schedule status changes to Booking Placed, Booking Cancelled, Space Released, Space Released Cancelled (No Space), Schedule Confirmed, or Schedule Rejected.

Post-MVP:
Exceptions/Incidents and email notification delivery will be added in a future release.

Viewing Notifications

Open Nexus provides two ways to view your notifications:

• Latest Notifications – Displays all notifications in chronological order, with the most recent notifications shown first.
• Grouped by Booking File – Groups notifications by Booking File, making it easier to review all activities related to a specific shipment.

You can also filter notifications using the Received Between date filter to display notifications received within a selected date range.

To mark a notification as Read or Unread, click the Read/Unread action icon on the far right of the notification.

Notification Settings

From the Notifications page, click the Notification Settings icon to choose which notifications you want to receive for your Responsible and Informed roles.

You can enable or disable notification categories individually, allowing you to tailor the alerts you receive based on your responsibilities.

Notification Roles

Notifications are categorized based on your role in the Booking File:

• Responsible → Notifications for Booking File you are responsible for completing.
• Informed → Notifications for Booking File you are monitoring for visibility.

Hint:
Notifications help you stay aligned on what needs attention without manually checking each Booking File, and can be turned on or off in Notification Settings for Responsible and Informed roles.
